Dissection

Posterior aspect of the knee with skin and connective tissue removed.

A longitudinal midline incision and four transverse incisions were made from the lower thigh to the lower one third of the leg. The transverse incisions went to the anterior aspect of the knee. The skin from the lower thigh to lower one third of the leg was removed and the flaps were discarded. Fatty tissue and superficial fascia were removed.
