This is an inferior view of the remainder of the distal intact portion of psoas. Bogduk found that all fascicles of psoas were approximately the same length and that there were tendinous formations to be found within the muscular lower levels.This change in the structure through the central portion could be the beginnings of tendon formation from the upper levels of psoas.
