Slide Two
Here is a view of the fusiform shape of the psoas, with psoas minor
descending anterior to it. Much of the fascia has been removed.
Iliacus can be seen originating from the concavity of the iliac fossa.
Its attachment to the anterior brim of the fossa was quite extensive,
as was its fascial attachment to the iliopectineal eminence.
The nerves visible here are the ilio-inguinal, lateral cutaneous of the
thigh, the femoral nerve, and the obturator nerve.
