 2006: Two recipients: Richard Clark, Eric Theriault and Bent Ronningen for Sensory and motor responses to two different exercise protocols for training the wrist extensors of healthy subjects and Svein Kristiansen, Neasa De Burca and Winnie Tung for Shoulder strength and range of motion in elite female water polo players.
 2005: Lars Ankarberg, Megan Gooding, Rogier Nelis, Frank Offermann and Jannike Persson for Lower lumbar spine axial rotation is reduced in end-range sagittal postures when compared to a neutral spine posture.

The Elsevier Book Prize for the Masters or Doctoral student publishing the best article in a Scientific Journal.

 2006: Kylie Hill, for her research article in European Respriatory Journal titled High-intensity inspiratory muscle training in COPD.
 2005: Grace P.Y. Szeto, for her research article in Manual Therapy titled A comparison of symptomatic and asymptomatic office workers performing monotonous keyboard work: 2) Neck and shoulder kinematics.
 2004: Wim Dankaerts, for his research article in Journal of Electromyography and Kinesiology titled Reliability of EMG measurements for trunk muscles during maximal and sub-maximal voluntary isometric contractions in health controls and CLBP patients.
 2003: Kotaro Tamari, for his research article in the Journal of Japanese Physical Therapy Association titled Gender and age-related differences in axial alignment of the lower limb among healthy Japanese volunteers: comparative and correlation study.
 2002: Christine Pickard, for her research article in The Journal of Gerontology: Medical Sciences titled Is there a difference in hip joint position sense between young and older groups?.
 2001: Sarah Love (in 2001 this prize was named The Butterworth Heinemann Book Prize)
