NHMRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow Dr Andrew Briggs has been selected to participate in Fresh Science 2008. He presented his research on spinal osteoporosis in June to the public at the Melbourne Museum.

In July 2008, School of Physiotherapy lecturer, Leo Ng, won the International Society of Biomechanics "Student International Travel Award". Leo also presented two papers on the biomechanics of lower back pain in adolescent rowers at the International Biomechanics in Sports Conference in Seoul, South Korea.
