May 2010 - Vale Eric Stovell

The School of Physiotherapy is saddened to hear of the passing of Eric Stovell. Eric joined the Department of Therapy, WAIT, Shenton Park Campus in January 1975 from Royal Perth Hospital. He was employed as Clinical Coordinator by Professor Lance Twomey. Eric was a great gentleman and had a wonderful sense of humour. He retired after 20 years of service and in his retirement continued to work on historical information about physiotherapy and its beginnings in Western Australia. He also provided content on the Department of Therapy for the book WAIT to Curtin - A History of the Western Australian Institute of Technology which was published by Curtin University in 1996. Our deepest sympathy goes to his wife Una and their family.
