February 2010 - Goodbye and Good Luck

Anatomy team with John Watson and Dr. Manisha Dayal

Members of the Physiotherapy anatomy team ( John Owens , Evan Coopes and Dr. Will Gibson ) with Dr. Manisha Dayal and John Watson.

Friday 19th February was a sad day for the School of Physiotherapy as we farewelled two highly regarded members of staff. Anatomy teacher Dr Manisha Dayal who joined us in 2008 is moving east following the transfer of her partner to New South Wales. Manisha has secured a position at the University of Western Sydney and the anatomy team and our students will certainly miss her sense of humour, professionalism, excellent organisational skills and dedicated approach to her work.

Also leaving us is John Watson who has been part of our staff since 2004. John has made a major contribution to many facets of our entry level courses, especially the second year musculoskeletal units and the first year anatomy team. John, who is among the most dedicated and popular members of staff, intends to explore some of his interests outside physiotherapy. On behalf of our current students and recent graduates, we wish both Manisha and John all the best for their next career moves and we hope they can come back and visit us in the not too distant future.
